Saturday morning a work party arrived at the recently acquired NPS property at Westcott Bay. This morning’s project was to assemble new “temporary pedestrian conveyance infrastructure” over the seasonal creek which enters the bay at this point. This will anchor a new trail connecting the English Camp Parade Grounds to the north boundary of the Park. Rik Karon organized the project and had already pre-cut and delivered the material to the site with the help of the Park  maintenance foreman Ken Azarian and maintenance worker David Harsh.  The rest of the team of volunteers consisted of Lars Sjoholm, Mark Hetrick, Allen Rosenberg and Mike Lazzari. Lee Taylor Park Superintendent also arrived to lend a hand.
