Two-colored lupine

FABACEAE, Leguminosae, Pea Family.
Habitat: Grassland; Trails: Young Hill, American Camp, Mount Finlayson, Jakle’s Lagoon; Bloom: May-June; Short, hairy stem and thin, palmately-arranged leaves. Inflorescence up to 8 cm tall. Petals often a deep blue and a white. Sometimes small speckles or spots on petals. Hairy seed pods 2 cm long and very thin, containing tiny brownish peas.
